Minutes of 1/12/05 Meeting
Present were Ruby Molinari, Hope Scott, Reva Clark, Don
Delcollo, Charles Marino, Bruce King and Marilynne Mellander.
Meeting called to order at 7 PM; recitation of Pledge
followed led by Charles Marino. Dec.
2004 MAC minutes MSA with corrections.
Treasurer’s Report:
Hope Scott reported no expenditures this month.
Consent Calendar:
No items this month
Sheriff’s Report:
Lt. Donny Gordon gave Sheriff’s crime report stating crime in the area
had been lighter than usual.
Public Comment:
Marilynne Mellander announced student uniform clothing event at Verde
elementary school in San Pablo on 1/25 and 1/26, 2005. Supervisor Gioia announced program to honor
Dr. Martin Luther King on 1/24/05 at Contra Costa College.
Terrance Cheung was not present at meeting.
Sheriff Warren Rupf thanked the MAC for its support and,
with Supervisor Gioia gave certificates to outgoing MAC members, an award of
commendation to Reva Clark for her work at the Sheriff’s annex and a plaques to
Don Delcollo and Bruce King for their past contributions to the community while
serving as MAC members. Michael Baefsky
was not present to receive his plaque.
New members, Erica Peng, Barbara Pendergrass, Wendi
Goslinger, Tom Mason and alternate Tom Owens were sworn in by Supervisor Gioia
then seated. All recited the oath of
office.
Newly elected MAC
officers are Ruby Molinari, Chair; Barbara Pendergrass, Vice Chair; Marilynne
Mellander, Secretary; and Hope Scott, Treasurer.
Chairman Molinari asked that Don Delcollo be retained as
Fire Marshall and asked MAC members to consider what standing committees they
would be willing to serve on.
Chairman Molinari announced that Sgt. Donny Gordon from the
Contra Costa Sheriff’s Dept. would be next month’s speaker.
Meeting adjourned at 7:32PM, MSP.
